AMCAL StarCo, LLC (the “Borrower”) is a joint venture between two prolific real estate developers, AMCAL, Barry Swenson Builder and Star America Infrastructure Partners, who together will construct The Graduate, an off-campus student housing development to serve the students of San Jose State University (SJSU). The Graduate will be a Class “A”, 260-unit / 1,039-bed, purpose-built student housing community located just one block from the main entrance to the campus and in the direct path of the campus’ future growth plans. At the time of the investment, The Graduate will be fully-entitled and shovel-ready. The financing investment will be used to invest in the project development costs.
